Token Tiers & Trade Limits
Auto Trader is open to everyone. Your $POLYBLOCK balance in your Polyblock custodial wallet sets your maximum trade size per order. Higher holdings unlock larger trades.
What's Changing
Previously, Auto Trader required holding at least 1,000,000 $POLYBLOCK in your Polyblock custodial wallet (or qualifying via Whop, platform points, or promo access). Under the new system:
- •Access is open to everyone — You can enable Auto Trader without holding any $POLYBLOCK. The free tier supports trades up to $3 per order.
- •Tokens set your trade size limit — More $POLYBLOCK in your custodial wallet unlocks higher per-trade limits — not whether you can use Auto Trader at all.
- •Existing users are grandfathered briefly — After the tier system is enabled, trade limits follow a short transition window until the published effective date (for example, users who previously held 1M+ $POLYBLOCK keep unlimited limits until then). After that date, the tier table and grace rules apply.
Rollout Timeline
Token tiers roll out in stages. Enabling the system and the effective date are separate — access and limits can change before fill priority does.
- •Before enable (legacy mode) — Auto Trader requires 1M+ $POLYBLOCK in your custodial wallet, Whop, 25M platform points, promo access, or admin grant. Order fill priority uses the legacy rule: top five $POLYBLOCK holders per batch get +1¢.
- •After enable, before effective date — Everyone can enable Auto Trader. Trade limits follow the transition rules (1M+ holders keep unlimited; others use the free $3 tier unless Whop/points/promo gives more).
- •On or after the effective date — Trade limits match your $POLYBLOCK balance (with 72-hour grace on downgrades). Tier-based order fill priority goes live.
Overview
Auto Trader uses token-based trade size tiers. Everyone keeps access to Auto Trader — you do not need to hold $POLYBLOCK to turn it on. Your tier controls how large each trade (or leg) can be, not whether you can use the feature at all.
Tiers are based on the $POLYBLOCK balance in your Polyblock custodial wallet (the same wallet you use for deposits and rewards). We check your balance on-chain and apply the highest tier your balance qualifies for.
Tier Table
These are the current default tiers. Polyblock may adjust thresholds or limits over time; the in-app Auto Trader Membership tab always shows your live tier and effective limit.
| Tier | Min $POLYBLOCK held | Max per trade |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 0 | $3 |
| 1M $POLYBLOCK | 1,000,000 | $10 |
| 2.5M $POLYBLOCK | 2,500,000 | $25 |
| 5M $POLYBLOCK | 5,000,000 | Unlimited* |
*Unlimited tier means no token-based cap on trade size. The $250 platform maximum still applies.
Moving up a tier
Deposit or swap $POLYBLOCK into your Polyblock custodial wallet. Once your on-chain balance crosses a threshold, your tier updates automatically — usually within minutes. You may need to refresh the Auto Trader page to see the new limit.
How Balance Is Checked
- •Custodial wallet only — Only $POLYBLOCK in your Polyblock custodial wallet counts. External Solana wallets are not used for tier resolution.
- •On-chain reads — We read your token balance from Solana and store it on your account. A background job re-syncs balances every few hours; the Auto Trader page also refreshes when you open it.
- •Tier applies to trade sizes — If you save a trade size above your tier limit, settings validation will block it and show which tier you need. Lower your sizes or add more $POLYBLOCK to proceed.
- •Best limit wins — Your effective max is the highest limit you qualify for across token tiers, Whop, platform points, or promo — still capped at $250.
Grace Period (Downgrades)
If your balance drops below the tier you are currently on, you do not lose Auto Trader access. Your trade limit is protected for a 72-hour grace period while you have time to top up.
Timeline
- •Day 0 — We detect your balance no longer supports your current tier. You keep your existing limit during grace and receive an email explaining the 72-hour window and how much $POLYBLOCK to add.
- •~24 hours — Email reminder with how many tokens to add and time remaining.
- •~48 hours — Second email reminder — 24 hours left before your tier adjusts.
- •~72 hours — If you have not restored your balance, your tier moves down to match your current holdings. You receive a confirmation email with your new tier and limit.
Existing users at rollout
When token tiers are first enabled, trade limits follow a transition window until the published effective date. During that window, users who hold at least 1M $POLYBLOCK keep unlimited trade limits (platform cap still applies); others use the free tier unless Whop, points, or promo grants a higher limit. After the effective date, limits follow the tier table above and the grace rules apply when your balance no longer supports your tier.
Email Notifications
Whenever we detect a change to your Auto Trader token tier, we email the address on your Polyblock account. You also get an in-app notification on the Auto Trader page. This applies to upgrades, downgrades, grace periods, and rollout transitions — not just when a downgrade finishes.
- •Tier upgrade — Sent when your $POLYBLOCK balance crosses a higher tier threshold and your trade limit increases.
- •Grace period started (Day 0) — Sent when your balance drops below your current tier. Explains that your limit is protected for 72 hours and how much $POLYBLOCK to add.
- •Grace reminders (~24h and ~48h) — Reminder emails during an active downgrade grace period with time remaining and tokens needed.
- •Tier adjusted (~72h) — Sent if grace ends without topping up — confirms your new tier and trade limit after the downgrade applies.
- •Tier restored — Sent if you add enough $POLYBLOCK during grace and keep your previous tier — your limit is confirmed again.
- •Rollout announcement — One-time email when token tiers launch, summarising your projected tier and the published effective date (if applicable).
Other Ways to Raise Limits
Your effective max trade size is the best limit you qualify for across these paths (still capped at $250 platform max):
- •$POLYBLOCK token tiers — Hold more $POLYBLOCK in your custodial wallet — see the tier table above.
- •Whop membership — Paid Auto Trader plans include their own per-trade limits. Compare options in the Auto Trader Membership tab or on Whop.
- •25M lifetime platform points — Users with 25,000,000+ total platform points unlock unlimited tier limits (platform cap still applies). See the Rewards docs.
- •Promotional access — Limited-time promo grants from Polyblock may include custom trade limits.
Priority Order Filling
On all Auto Trader strategies (directional 5m/15m/1h, Lock, Spot Edge, Late Snipe, Shield, Surge/Hedge, Momentum, Laggard Scalper, and confirmation add-ons), when multiple users receive the same signal in a batch, orders are submitted in priority order. Under tier-based priority, your tier is determined by $POLYBLOCK held in your custodial wallet at execution time.
When tier priority is active
Tier-based fill priority (highest tier first, +1–3¢ bumps) starts at the same scheduled effective date as trade-limit transitions — not when the tier system is first enabled. Until that date, legacy fill priority applies (see below). Polyblock may also force legacy filling from admin at any time while keeping the tier system live.
Legacy fill priority (before effective date or admin override)
When tier-based priority is not active, the five users with the largest $POLYBLOCK balances in each batch are submitted first and receive a +1¢ entry price bump. Everyone else in the batch uses the standard entry price. This is the same rule that applied before token tiers launched.
Tier-based pricing bumps
- •1M $POLYBLOCK tier — +1¢ entry price bump — orders cross the spread before free-tier users.
- •2.5M $POLYBLOCK tier — +2¢ entry price bump.
- •5M $POLYBLOCK tier — +3¢ entry price bump (maximum). Higher tiers are also submitted to the exchange first.
- •Free tier — Standard entry price — filled after higher-tier users on competitive books.
Fees & Minimums
- •Minimum trade size — The free tier minimum is $3 per trade. You cannot save a trade size below your tier minimum or above your effective max.
- •Platform cap — No single trade (or leg) can exceed $250, regardless of tier or Whop plan.
Auto Trader orders are subject to Polymarket fees and any Polyblock fees described in our Fees policy. Fees are deducted from your trading balance at execution.
Getting Started
- •Open Auto Trader — Go to Auto Trader from the main nav and open the Membership tab to see your tier, balance, and effective limit.
- •Add $POLYBLOCK (optional) — Deposit or swap into your custodial wallet to move up a tier. Free tier ($3/trade) works without any tokens.
- •Configure & enable — Set trade sizes within your tier limit, accept the terms, and enable the strategies you want.
FAQ
- •Do I need $POLYBLOCK to use Auto Trader? — No. Once token tiers are live, everyone can enable Auto Trader. The free tier allows up to $3 per trade.
- •What wallet counts for my tier? — Only $POLYBLOCK in your Polyblock custodial wallet (the wallet you deposit into from the Polyblock app). Tokens held in external Solana wallets do not count.
- •I had Auto Trader before tiers — do I lose access? — No. You keep access once tiers are enabled. Trade limits may follow the transition window until the effective date; after that, normal tier and grace rules apply.
- •When does tier-based order priority start? — At the published effective date — the same moment trade-limit transitions apply for the rollout. Before then (or if Polyblock forces legacy filling), top-five $POLYBLOCK holders get +1¢ priority instead.
- •Can priority filling block my order? — No. Priority only changes submission order and whether your limit price includes a small bump (+1–3¢). If you pass validation, your order is still placed.
- •What happens if I sell my $POLYBLOCK? — You keep Auto Trader access. If your balance drops below your tier, we email you immediately when grace starts, then at ~24h and ~48h. After 72 hours without topping up, your limit adjusts and we send a confirmation email.
- •Will I get an email when my tier changes? — Yes. Upgrades, grace starts, grace reminders, downgrades after grace, tier restores, and rollout announcements all trigger email and in-app notifications.
- •Does Whop still work? — Yes. Whop plans include their own trade limits. Your effective max is the best limit across Whop, tokens, points, and promo.
- •Where do I see my live tier? — Open Auto Trader → Membership tab. It shows your tier name, $POLYBLOCK balance, effective max, and any active grace period.
